Time for some milk and cookies….or should I say, time for some almond milk and cookies! These chocolate chip cookies are not like the normal cookie we know and love. There is a surprise in the center of each yummy cookie!
I had to travel to Bristol Virgina last Friday for work, the drive up from Charlotte was seriously AMAZING!!! I traveled through Boone, Blowing Rock, Roan Mountain and many other beautiful sites. When I completed my audit for work, I was in the parking lot and guess who was there? Girl Scouts! Yup, that was dangerous. So I asked if I could buy some in the parking lot, they were heading into the location to set up shop. I couldn’t wait for my Do-Si-Dos and Samoas….I needed them NOW! A little bit about me, I am so not patient! So I had two yummy boxes in my car, ready to devour when I got home!
Saturday morning I woke up with two recipe ideas, one a recipe I would create, and one that would be a *SplurgeMoment* that we all deserve! If you missed the recipe I created, you can take a look…or drool a bit at the Kale Chips, Roasted Garlic, and Parmesan Swirled Egg Bread. The *SplurgeMoment* what is it? Chocolate chip cookie dough wrapped around Samoas cookie….OH YES I DID! I know I could make Samoas, but I like supporting the Girl Scouts, they deserve it!!!
There really is no recipe to post today, I used the chocolate chip cookie recipe on the back of the semi sweet chocolate chips package. Then just let yourself get REALLY messy, use a spoon to help put the dough around the Samoas cookie. They will make bigger than normal cookies, which is why they are *SplurgeMoment* cookies!
I am not a huge chocolate lover, so make some with just the dough, without chocolate chips. I think they are better with the chocolate chips, but really delicious either way! We also put a Do-Si-Dos in the center, so really you could put any of your favorite Girl Scout cookies in the center. AND what a fun treat to make with your kids, I mean what kid wouldn’t want to get messy right?
Are you wondering about these beautiful pictures? They are pictures my Sister created with my Niece, they are her cute little foot and hand. My sister found the idea on Pinterest, such a great idea!
