This post is being written while slightly under the influence……WHICH seemed totally appropriate to me!  Instead of another Hazelnut Creamitini, I am enjoying my second glass of wine.  All this is happening while watching Underworld for the millionth time…..this post could end up being really bizzare!  HEY, you all know I like to have fun, enjoy life, AND enjoy a few cocktails!!!!

This cocktail evolved from many recipes I was looking at on-line that included Frangelico.  I not only love the bottle that Frangelico comes in, I love the delicious liquor that is filled in that lovely bottle!

Do you see that snow?  Well do you remember my fun snow day last week?  I figured since Charlotte doesn’t get much snow, why not put some in the shot?  I adore cold weather and snow, AND actually found a place in Canada that has snow and cold weather all year long.  BUT hubby said to have fun and that he will miss me…..which means he is is not interested…BOO:-(

So instead I just enjoy the rare fun snow days in Charlotte, and gorgeous pictures I find all the time on Pinterest!  If you don’t follow me on Pinterest, you can find me here!  OKAY…..I am wandering from the topic at hand…..I am back, let’s talk about Frangelico!!!

Hazelnut + Cherries + Cream + Cinnamon = Pure Happiness

Hazelnut Creamitini

Hazelnut and cherries wrapped into one creamy cocktail!!!

Ingredients
  • 1 oz frangelico
  • ½ oz Disaronno
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 oz half and half

Instructions
  1. Mix ingredients in a mixer with ice. Pour into a martini glass without the ice. Serve with marshchino cherries.
  2. Enjoy!

WHEW….we all survived my crazy fun post!  BTW, now I am sitting here watching Chopped on Food Network with my hubby!  From Underworld to Chopped!  Random right?

    Frangelico is my favorite liqueur – I made a delicious Spike Hazelnut Frappe using Frangelico and Godiva coffee last year. It is nearly 5 o’clock here ;) Happy weekend, Terra!

    Terra, You and I would get along just fine! You and hubby need to come to visit us. We have wineries galore, and snow! Love those fancy cocktails you make. I’m not very adventurous with mixology – but you sure are :)

    Frangelico really has a great flavor. I’ll drink in in anything, but this cocktail looks particularly nice. Super combo of flavors! Nothing better than chilling with a cocktail and your mate! Good stuff – thanks.

    So glad you’re having fu with such a delicious drink :-) this would have been a perfect après ski drink when I was in Taos last week-such fun! I hope you’re feeling much better now too-both my hubby and son have been sick once we returned from our ski trip, so I am loading up on vitamin D. Wish me luck :-)

    I had to check the date of this post because I remember watching Underworld “again” last week. :) I think I was drinking an Old Fashioned. Wish I had had ONE of these Creamitnis! I find sweet drinks with cream quite dangerous. It’s like drinking ice cream which I love doing and not sure when to stop. :) As far as Frangelico goes – I like it straight up or on the rocks. Fun post!
