#PizzaParty with Buzz Lightyear! {From the vault: Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza Recipe}

Guess what?  There is someone out there who LOVES pizza just as much as I do!!!  If you don’t follow me on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, you may not know my pizza addiction, but I can assure you it is a problem….a good problem of course!  I love pizza for breakfast, lunch, dinner, in a plane, in a car, on a sidewalk, at a party, in the company of friends.  I will eat pizza anywhere, and everyday!

So when my friends’ son came over the other day, we decided making pizza together would be fun.  He said he really LOVES pizza A LOT!  We got him a stool, and he was ready to make PIZZA with Buzz Lightyear!!!!

He was saying, “Cheese Pizza,” for the picture! 🙂

Looks like a perfect pizza, don’t you agree Buzz?

Sweet little one was VERY happy, and enjoyed a slice while watching Cars!

I truly had such a lovely time making pizza with the sweet little man, and we did have some giggles along the way.  This pizza addiction got me thinking though, why not start sharing several different pizzas, made in all different ways.  I plan to make this an all-summer-long pizza party, if you want to join in on the fun, send me a message here on my blog, or on Facebook, or Twitter!  We could make this a kickin’ pizza party for sure!!!

To start off the #pizzaparty in style, I wanted to share a recipe my grill master and I made last year.  Everything on the pizza was made from scratch, and grilled with love!  Here is the original link for the BBQ Chicken Pizza with all the directions in the post!

Pizza Dough
Cups-Warm Water
Tablespoon-Active Dry Yeast
Tablespoons-Granulated Sugar
Tablespoons- Olive/Canola/Vegetable Oil
Teaspoons-Kosher Salt
2 1/2-3 Cups-All Purpose/Bread Flour

Combine warm water with yeast and sugar.

Set timer and let rise for 10 minutes.

Warm bowl of stand up mixer/mixing bowl with warm water.

Add yeast water to bowl and add oil, salt and 5 cups of the flour.

Add bowl to stand up mixer and attach the dough hook.

Mix on low speed until a sticky ball of dough is formed, add remaining flour if necessary.

Place dough in lightly oiled bowl, cover, set timer for one hour and let rise.

Divide into two potions, roll into balls and use immediately.

Or place on lightly oiled sheet and freeze individually.

Remove after frozen, place in freezer bags and store in freezer until ready to use.

Thaw in refrigerator overnight when ready to use.

My dough was a little dry, so I had to add a little moisture to my mixture, I added more of both olive oil and warm water.

Is there anything better than pizza my friends?  Last year I made a pizza dough with butternut squash in the dough.  During my pizza party, I want to make some different pizza dough variations, along with different unique toppings.  I think Buzz Lightyear is as excited as I am, don’t you agree?

The little boy looks so happy and excited. I find that if children prepare and cook their own meals they are much more likely to eat them. He made a great looking pizza! xx
