“Don’t Make Any Plans” Blueberry Cocktail

Safety first with this cocktail!  Give up your keys at the door, and ensure you have a designated driver.  The drink mixes in the sweet and savory, with a punch from two different types of alcohol.  A refreshing cocktail that is perfect to combat the Summer heat….but remember, “Don’t Make Any Plans” Blueberry Cocktail!

"Don't Make Any Plans" Blueberry CocktailOne difference in my drink, the color.  I used pure cane sugar, instead of white sugar.  So with your drink, if you want a different look to the drink, just use white sugar instead.

I chose to use thyme for the drink, but mint or basil would be perfect in the cocktail.  Also, you could use strawberries, blackberries, or even raspberries, whichever works to your palette.

Depending on what you have available, you can use fresh or bottled lime juice.  Just like any recipe, there is a lot of flexibility in a cocktail to make it your own.

"Don't Make Any Plans" Blueberry CocktailWhen I made the cocktail, I really didn’t expect it to have that much of a kick.  Thank goodness I was home relaxing!  The cocktail was complimented perfectly with grilled steak and asparagus!  Cheers 🙂
