This week was all about bourbon love, and beating the Summer heat. Grab a tall glass full of raspberries, coconut ice cream, and of course, bourbon. Take a seat by the pool….or beach your choice! The coconut ice cream will cool you down during the intense heat of the day. After you take a dip in the water and feel a slight chill, the bourbon will warm you back up. What do you say? Time to chug that tall glass of Raspberry Bourbon Shake!
Hubby and I really do love our bourbon. Last weekend we picked up a half gallon of Evan Williams Kentucky Bourbon. We needed to use two cups for a BBQ sauce we made for our grilled chicken. Then the rest was donated to science…..okay not really. We used several shots in about four pitchers of Bourbon Lemonade Cocktail…..but who’s counting? AND maybe a few more shots were needed for this refreshing shake. We were just happy we picked up a half gallon. If only they sold the delicious bourbon in a gallon bottle……BUT that could be dangerous!
My bar has been keeping this gorgeous bottle of Chambord safe. I definitely don’t use the raspberry liquor enough. To keep with the boozy theme of the week, mixing Chambord and Bourbon sounded totally logical to me. I try to only use lactose free ice cream, which is why I threw in the coconut ice cream from So Delicious. The coconut and raspberry mixed together was very refreshing. The best part, this drink was made non-alcoholic, and officially kid approved. Cheers!!!!
