If you have been following CafeTerraBlog for awhile, you know my love for Greek yogurt runs deep. I have shared over 40 different recipes on my blog that incorporate Greek yogurt. On my sidebar, you will find a recipe index that includes my Greek yogurt recipes. My favorite brand of Greek yogurt will always be Chobani. What is it about Greek yogurt that makes it so amazing? Well, sit back and check out this review of The Greek Yogurt Diet cookbook.
Dr. Sonali Ruder co-wrote the book The Greek Yogurt Diet with Jo Brielyn. Sonali is a blogger and a fellow foodie, you can find her on social media as “The Foodie Physician.” What you will find in this book is information about Greek yogurt, and research backing the Greek yogurt diet. Also, you will find how to choose the best Greek yogurt, meal plans, recipes, and a toolkit to make the diet easy for you to incorporate into your day-to-day life.
What’s amazing about Greek yogurt, is how it works in each recipe. You can use Greek yogurt instead of eggs and butter, to reduce the fat in your recipe.
There are several recipes I want to make from the book. Most of the recipes come from fellow foodies. In my photos you will find Sonali’s Egg Salad Recipe (pg 92,) and her Caramelized Onion Yogurt dip (pg 80.) I definitely plan to make Homemade Greek Yogurt, Hippie Pancakes, Lemon Hummus, Ovenbaked Fish Sticks, and Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread! So many choices, so little time!

Each recipe I tried has a definite seal of my approval! The book is easy to follow, and provides very helpful information. For many people, the toolkit section will be used the most to help plan out your new diet changes that will help, rather than scare you away. The book will also guide you to make little changes at a time, and put the fun back into eating healthy.
