Thames Farm Adventures

No recipe this week, but I have food and cute animal pics to share!  Hubby and I took a trip into South Carolina last week to Thames Farm.  We met up with a fellow food blogger, Mary, from All Things Food – Cooking with Mary and Friends!  She even shared some of her delicious treats with me, her recipes are beyond delicious.

Thames Farm has farm-raised chicken, pigs, cows and lamb.  The farm sits on several acres and all the animals have a huge area to roam.  When you pull into the farms long driveway you will be greeted by many chickens just milling about on the property.  Here is the address – 3510 Catawba River Rd, Fort Lawn, South Carolina- and here is the Facebook Page to see when they are open to the public.  The list of meat to choose from is long, and everything you will purchase is a winner!

Our breakfast the next day after our visit at the farm- Scrambled Eggs with Asparagus, Sausage Patties and Toast.

Then, that evening we enjoyed a whole chicken roasted with carrots, potatoes and onions.

Now, if you take me to a place with animals I will fall in love with each and everyone one of them.  I did.  Here are some pics, I will share more next week with a fun chicken recipe!

I enjoy a simple breakfast. Scrambled eggs will accept almost any vegetable. At the camp, we prepare an asparagus and Swiss frittata one week. The next week has a mushroom, tomato and spinach scramble. My favorite cheese to use with eggs is freshly grated Parmesan.
