This post will share some recipe links, but we will not get a brand new recipe this time. Instead, you will get to enjoy a fun review about the new bar toys I received from Uncommon Goods. Since I love baking, cooking and mixing up new treats with booze, the new gadgets will make future posts more exciting (and colorful).
Stackable Ice Tray Set: Since we love to make a variety of cocktails, this ice tray set is a perfect option. The larger and small square ice cube trays are perfect for bourbon on the rocks. The long cubes would compliment mixed cocktails, and the top lid would seal each tray together (or you could freeze lemon, lime or orange slices and store them on that tray). The stackable tray set is compact and will only take up a small area of your freezer. Plus, the ice cubes are easy to remove. Five icy stars for this set.
Citrus Ice Cube Infuser Set: This set is multifunctional with the ability to use them for cocktails and recipes that call for lemon or lime juice. I love adding citrus to cocktail recipes, so these little cubes would flavor the drink and give an additional chill to the cocktail. Again, this ice cube set is compact and will take up just a little portion of your freezer. Five citrus stars for this set.
Whiskey Stones: Why add stones to my whiskey? Using stones prevents your drink from getting diluted, and no body wants watered-down whiskey. The stones are made with natural soapstone, which is soft and will not scratch glass. The best part, the stones are able to retain the chilled temperatures for an extended period of time. We loved the stones and were really happy to enjoy our bourbon not watered down. Five whiskey stars for these brilliant little stones.
Here are a few other kitchen and bar toys I
need (would love) from Uncommon Goods: Wine Glasses, Corkcicle (wine bottle chiller), Personalized Cutting Boards (love these). You can keep up to date on all the new additions to the site just by signing up for their weekly “This just in” email.
I really really need these musical note wine glasses, so beautiful!
