Peanut Butter Banana Bread

Lately we’ve been craving healthy treats, but sometimes picking up a healthy option is not always easy. Wherever you walk you see delicious desserts within arms reach. There are an array of candy bars at the check out line of the grocery story, or that special isle dedicated to donuts and cookies. This recipe is super easy to make. Bonus, right? If you’re like us, then you struggle finding the time to bake healthy treats. It took about 5-10 minutes to prepare, then all you have to do is walk away and let it bake for about 50 minutes.

The bread can be stored at room temperature, so that frees up space in your fridge. Grab a slice and compliment it with your favorite cup of joe or steamy cup of tea. Slather it with peanut butter, butter, or even some strawberry jam to make it that much better. Want a slice?

Peanut Butter Banana Bread

1 cup peanut butter (or your favorite nut butter)
1/2 cup pure cane sugar
3 bananas
3/4 vanilla Greek yogurt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
3-6 Tbsp water (optional - if your batter seems dry)


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease loaf pan with non-dairy butter and sit aside.

In medium bowl, Mash bananas. Add sugar, peanut butter, Greek yogurt and mix well.

In small bowl, Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and mix well.

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix together. Don't over mix batter. If batter seems dry add a few tablespoons of water.

Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 45 -55 minutes, depending on oven. Check with toothpick to ensure it is cooked all the way through.

Let cool (or sneak a warm piece when just out of the oven).
